Linda Cook Obituary

LINDA COOK     Age 61, of Brookline, passed peacefully on Thursday, March 14, 2024. Beloved daughter of Georgia (Ratica) Cook and the late Don J. Cook; cherished sister of Lisa Marie and the late Don Cook; (Susan Surviving), beloved granddaughter of Emma and George Ratica, Rose and Fred Cook; adored niece of Beth Ann Ratica, Greg (Loretta) and the late Ted Ratica (Linda Surviving); a very special cousin to Jean (Tony), Kyle (Meredith) and Kennedy Rose (Late Dillon) McCullough, Greg and daughter Kaitlyn, Jeff (Adrianna) and their children Emma and Ella, Adam (Michelle) Ratica and their daughter Sarah. She leaves a host of other family members and treasured friends to mourn her loss.

Linda devoted much of her time and energy to helping and caring for others including her friends, clients, and family.  However, her first and foremost dedication was to her God, Jehovah, and she symbolized that by baptism on June 28,1975 at age 12.

Later she derived much joy from the 3 years she was able to serve as a full-time Pioneer helping others to learn about Jehovah and his word The Bible.

Linda also treasured the privilege she had of assisting in the construction of many “quickly built” Kingdom Halls, including the Carrick Kingdom Hall and Coraopolis Assembly Hall, which she attended for many years.

Besides these projects Linda loved arts and crafts and had a special way of putting something together that would always bring a warm smile of appreciation from the recipient.

She spent her time at home renovating, redecorating, and maintaining her family home, but she left most of the cooking to Lisa!

Linda was like a worker-bee always busy buzzing around to spread love and bring kindness into the lives of others:  she will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 3pm in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2401 Raven Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15210
