Ronald Kaiser Obituary

RON KAISER

July 17, 1931-March 20, 2024

Ronald O. Kaiser died on March 20th, 2024 and he wasn’t happy about it. He was born in Rillton, raised in Herminie and spent most of his life in Pittsburgh. He considered himself a writer although many may disagree, and at the age of 88 finally published his first book, Herbert’s War, which all of you should buy if you want to read an amazingly good story. He completed four novels, two fiction and two non-fiction and considered those his best accomplishments, along with the thousands of commercials that he wrote during his 56+ years in the advertising business, winning many awards which he didn’t much care about. He is survived by his wife Susan, a woman of unwavering courage for tolerating his impatience and uncertainty; his four children, Amy, Scott, Pamela & Bradley, eight grandchildren, Jed, Zoe, Max, Ruby, Laura, Carly, Nick & Chris and 7 great grandchildren, Nathan, Avery, Rogan, Ethan, Alma, Rosalie and Aiden plus one on the way, a sister Shirley, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom were charter members of his Captain Weirdo Club. He is preceded in death by his mother Rosalie and father Oggie and sister Sandra. There are no funeral arrangements because Ron didn’t want to attend, but all funny stories and memories can be shared with his daughter Amy at amymookimberly@gmail.com! Interment will be in Alleghany Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Kaiser was able to purchase a lot in one of the traffic islands in the cemetery because he always “wanted to live on an island” and he figured he should at least be buried on one. If permitted, his epitaph will say, “I’m really going to miss me.” Arrangements by Ball Funeral Chapel, Inc.
